 Bookmark (1985) | I love lots of things about this bookmark, c. 1985 - the graphics, the colours, the name of the book and the name of the bookstore promoting and selling it, the Enchanting Land Children's Bookstore. The Day It Snowed Tortillas by Joe Hayes was published in 1985 by Mariposa Books. A second bilingual edition was published in 2003. Bloomsbury Review listed the original English-only edition as one of their fifteen all-time favorite children’s books. You can watch a YouTube video of Joe Hayes reading a story from the book.
