I have chosen to feature this bookmark because I just really like it!  It looks great, is rather striking, and the person represented on it, the bushranger Ned Kelly, is an iconic Australian hero (or villain) depending on your point of view, beliefs, politics, etc!

This bookmark relates to Issue 14, Jan-Feb 2013 of Inside History Magazine and you can see the magazine cover with Ned's image on it here.

You can read all about Ned Kelly in the Australian Dictionary of Biography.

The State Library of Victoria, Australia also has great information and images related to Ned Kelly.

This bookmark is definitely one of my favourites in my collection!
