AGNSW - Goddess Divine Energy
AGNSW - Goddess Divine Energy
I have been to many wonderful art gallery exhibitions in Australia and around the world but this one, Goddess Divine Energy, held at the Art Gallery of New South Wales (AGNSW) in Sydney, Australia from 14 October 2006 - 28 January 2007 was the most wonderful of all! In fact it was more than an exhibition, it was a sublime spiritual experience! I spent many, many hours engrossed in and totally captivated by this exhibition. So many wonderful paintings, sculptures and artefacts of the Divine Mother.
This excellently curated exhibition touched me at my very core and for the first time in my life I was moved to write a fan letter to an art gallery! I received a touching reply from the head curator. The exhibition catalogue and bookmark are my lasting tangible reminders of this incredible exhibition. Jaya Ma! |

National Pioneer Women's Hall of Fame
National Pioneer Women's Hall of Fame
Walking around Alice Springs, Northern Territory, Australia in 2000, I was fortunate to stumble upon the National Pioneer Women's Hall of Fame (NPWHF). Having long had an interest in women's history (Herstory) and its promotion, I was thrilled to walk through the doors of the NPWHF and view the exhibition. I was very inspired by what I saw and read and was very happy to leave with one of their striking bookmarks as a happy memento of my visit.
For several years after this visit I was a donor member of the NPWHF and was delighted I could help financially and otherwise support the valuable work of this great volunteer organisation.
The National Pioneer Women’s Hall of Fame (now called Women's Museum of Australia) is dedicated to preserving the place of women in history for their special contribution to Australia’s heritage. Founded by Molly Clark of Old Andado Station in 1993, the National Pioneer Women's Hall of Fame Inc. is one of only three women’s museums in operation in Australia and it is one of approximately 40 women’s museums worldwide, mainly in central Europe, Scandinavia and the USA.
On International Women’s Day, 8 March 2007, The National Pioneer Women's Hall of Fame officially opened at its new permanent home, the Old Alice Springs Gaol, 2 Stuart Terrace, Alice Springs.
