"BOOKMARKS AS MARKETING TOOLS:
When most people think about bookmarks, they view bookmarks as simple placeholders. Bookmarks can be much more than that, however; they can be powerful marketing tools that take advantage of the power of branding through repetition. More than that, with the right technique you can take your bookmarks beyond branding and turn them into active marketing tools by employing a few creative bookmark printing techniques".

Cum Panio Atelier de Pães
Cum Panio Atelier de Pães
Cum Panio Atelier de Pães is a bakery and bread shop in Serra, Brazil.
Alas, I have not been there or sampled there very yummy looking bread. This bookmark was used as part of the packaging in a parcel I received from Brazil - nothing to do with bookmarks or Cum Panio. Perhaps the sender had a sixth-sense I was a bookmark collector! I was certainly surprised and very happy to receive and gratefully accept this unsolicited extra goodie in my parcel! It is a very colourful and somewhat hunger-enticing bookmark and it is very large, measuring 29cm (h) x 6cm (w). About as long as a baguette! You can see this beautiful bread on Cum Panio Instrgram The Atelier de Pães website (no longer available) explained that "Cum Panio" is from the Latin ''cum panis'' which translates as "with bread" and is where the English word "companion" comes from. On the website the owners further explained... "Trying to replay 'magical' moments of many trips and 'those' breads that populate our imagination, we launched a tiny seed of Cum Panio . This beautiful project involved many friends of various nationalities with their experiences, knowledge and hospitality, a friendly, cheerful and competent workforce, good partners and customers, with whom we learned a lot.We researched breads around the world, different eating habits and traditions. We use various techniques in our production and seek flavor, aroma, nutritional qualities and beauty in our products. We love beautiful honeycomb crispy crusts and crumbs, the challenges of sluggish fermentations and the charming simplicity of the moments that bread can provide. Besides our bakers we have exchange students and travelers in many countries of Asia, Europe, Americas and Africa, who love making breads and sharing them". |
