Sometimes you get a bookmark that doesn't particularly grab you graphically, etc., but you are intrigued by what it is all about and set out on a research mission to find out more! This bookmark about Indie Bob is a case in point!
The bookmark itself is informative and also humorous! But Indie Bob's blog is even more revealing, informative and totally fascinating. Great stories and photos of Bob's numerous visits to independent book stores in the USA.
Bob certainly has a passion for independent book stores and books and reading in general! As he says in his first blog entry on 13 February 2014: "The initial purpose of this blog is to share observations about independent bookstores and support them as they battle against the ever-increasing use of e-readers and online sites like Amazon. It will however evolve also as a site for me to share some of the books I'm reading and offer informal book reports. Yes, I'm pretending I'm back in middle school and offering book reports! Expect things to refine as I go since this blogging thing is very new to me. My primary goal is to visit every independent bookstore listed in the book, My Bookstore, edited by Ronald Rice [Bob is shown reading this book on the bookmark], which is a great resource of indie bookstores. There are 81 indies in this book".
Bob is still visiting indie bookstores and blogging about his experiences as we speak!
Do check out his blog.
